STORY TIME

Cheung Po Tsai’s Treasure Hunt

Cheung Po Tsai was the happiest pirate on the South China Sea – he’d found an old treasure map filled with mysterious clues.

His first stop was DB Pier, where a colour ful parrakeet squawked,“This way!” and pointed him towards Cheung Chau. At the harbour, a clever sea tur tle popped up and chirped “Follow me!” The tur tle dived and swam to the other side of the island. Fur ther along the coast, a playful pod of pink dolphins leapt through the waves and led Cheung Po Tsai to a hidden sea cave.

Inside the cave sat an old wooden treasure chest. Cheung Po Tsai rubbed his hands together, as he slowly lif ted the lid. But instead of gold coins, the chest was filled with sparkling seashells, smooth sea glass and a handwritten note that said:

“The richest pirate is the one who protects the sea."

Cheung Po Tsai smiled from ear to ear. “Now that’s treasure wor th sharing!” he said.

GIGGLE ZONE!

• Why can’t pirates learn the alphabet?

- Because they keep getting lost at C!

• Why do pirates bury their treasure?

- Because they don’t have piggy banks!

• Why don't oysters share pearls with pirates?

- Because they're shellfish!

• Why are pirate ships so noisy?

- Because they’re full of sea-rious giggling!

• Why do pirates go to school?

- To improve their ‘arrrr-t’!
