EIGHTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS


Three Sheets Marquee and Bar’s eighth anniversary party was packed with residents and their families on June 6 who enjoyed the opportunity to get together, have a drink or three and listen to live music. There was an open bar on Sapporo Draught from 4pm to 6pm. [PHOTOS BY Col Sim Photography.



WHOLE-COMMUNITY EVENTS AT DC


Discovery College students were busy in the lead-up to the long vac, presenting an Ensemble Evening on May 19 and a TEDx Youth Talk on June 8. Both events were free and open to the whole community. [PHOTOS COURTESY OF DC.]



SEA CUCUMBERS IN SAI KUNG


The DB-based Sea Cucumbers made a splash at the Sai Kung District Dragon Boat Race on June 19. Competing in high-energy heats along the Sai Kung waterfront, the Men’s Team placed second in the Bronze Cup Final, while the Ladies’ Team finished sixth in the Gold Cup Final. The Small Mixed Team placed fifth in the Excellence Cup Final, and the Standard Mixed Team placed seventh in the Gold Cup Final.



AT THE DB NIGHT MARKET


On June 13, Handmade Hong Kong hosted the first DB Weekend Night Market of the year, with over 60 local artisans and homegrown brands showcasing handmade accessories and crafts, plus specialised products for kids and pets.
