Starting next week, passengers at Hong Kong International Airport will be able to browse the web with expanded high speed WiFi coverage, in addition to the free shower facilities already available to arriving passengers.
According to the Airport Authority, the high-speed WiFi will have users surfing the net at up to 400mb per second at 10 spots across the terminal beginning next week.
In addition, seats equipped with USB-charging ports and power sockets have also been added near gates one to four and 15 to 19.
The Airport Authority started rolling out these upgrades last September where it launched free shower rooms, available in the restricted area near gate 22 in the arrival level. The shower rooms have five cubicles each, with one cubicle equipped for people with disabilities.
Hong Kong placed fifth in the world in Skytrax’s World Airport Awards last year, with Singapore’s Changi Airport placing first.
