Update from City Management regarding clearing of trees

Posted in : News on by : Around DB , , , Comments: 0

Around DB has received the following update from City Management regarding the clearing of trees post-typhoon Mangkhut following queries from local residents as to when the felled trees will be removed across DB.

“Following last weekend’s typhoon, approximately 1,000 trees were felled in DB. It is expected that the clearing of trees will take approximately two to three weeks. An entire typhoon recovery team is currently in place, including nine City Management staff, 12 in works, 12 in cleaning and a full team of security and customer service centre staff.

Typhoon Mangkhut is stronger than last year’s Typhoon Hato, with 10% more damaged trees. The trees will be cut or reinstated, with an estimated 150 garbage tanks to be used in the disposal process.”
