SHOPPING THE DISCOVERY BAY CHRISTMAS MARKET

The Christmas-themed Sunday Market in DB Plaza on December 11 was the place to pick up last-minute gifts, while enjoying traditional Celtic music and dance performances. Kids enjoyed the special seasonal booth where they got to write letters to Santa Claus and receive his reply.

EXPERIENCING A JOYOUS CHRISTMAS ON ICE

Discovery Bay Ice Rink hosted a sensational figure skating performance, Joyous Christmas on Ice, on December 17 and 18. Over 100 students of the rink’s figure skating school performed alongside their coaches.

CAROLLING IN DB PLAZA

There was a brass band at Discovery Bay International School Community Christmas Carols in DB Plaza on December 15, and everyone had fun joining in with the carol singing.

ST NICHOLAS VISITS IN DB

DB-based One World Spirit Association (OWS) arranged for five St Nicholases to visit 33 DB families on December 4 and 10, delighting 49 children of all nationalities. Eighty-five SEN students at Kwan Fong Kai Chi School also enjoyed a visit from the team on December 22. Providing these Christmas visits is just one of the many ways OWS works to connect people of all backgrounds through cultural exchange.

LANTAU RUNNERS ON THE LANTAU 50 PODIUM

Action Asia Event’s Lantau 50 skyrunning race on December 10 saw participants choose between three gruelling courses, 16km, 27km and 54km. A special shout-out goes to Lantau residents Stella Grasso, who finished first in the women’s 54km ultramarathon and Salomon Wettstein, who finished first in the men’s 54km.
