It looks like Hong Kong’s winter has finally arrived, with temperatures expected to fall to 12 degrees tomorrow morning, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories.
The Hong Kong Observatory issued its first cold weather warning of the season earlier today, as an intense northeast monsoon is affecting southern China. Members of the public are advised to wear warm clothes to avoid adverse health effects from the cold weather and to ensure adequate indoor ventilation.
Bright periods are forecast throughout the day tomorrow with a maximum temperature of about 15 degrees.
Temperatures will remain cool in the next couple of days, but are expected to gradually rise in the New Year, with a predicted temperature of between 18 and 21 degrees on New Year’s Day.
