The Panel on Development will be holding a public hearing on Saturday, 16 April 2016, at 9:00 am at the Legislative Council Complex to receive public views on the “Proposed Development Strategy for Lantau”.
Concerned individuals or organizations are now being invited to send written submissions of their views to the Panel by 5pm on April 1, Friday.
Those who would like to make an oral presentation at the meeting are requested to fill out an attached reply slip to the Clerk, also by said time.
In line with its usual practice, submissions received will be made available to the media and the public, and uploaded onto the website of the Legislative Council unless the individuals or organizations concerned have advised otherwise.
Thus far, proposals from the Lantau Development Advisory Committee (LanDAC) have, since been made public, garnered sharp criticism from residents and related parties. Chief among them is the lack of consultation with those concerned, on the part of the committee.
