If you are due to travel with Virgin Atlantic over the Xmas period, it would be wise to check that your Virgin Atlantic’s flight is not delayed due to a possible strike.
The cabin crew based in Hong Kong is mainly fighting for fairer compensation. Travellers booked on Virgin Atlantic’s flight during this holiday period may face the prospect of their flight being cancelled if the issue between staff and management is not resolved shortly. This could last until Jan 1st.
In 2015, the company sacked over 5o older cabin crew based in Hong Kong in order to save costs.
Virgin Atlantic HK Cabin Crew Union members say: “We feel discriminated, unfairly treated and disappointed by the actions of Virgin Atlantic … We are still hoping for an amicable solution in resolving this matter in a peaceful, harmonious manner.”
This was reported yesterday by SCMP.
