Police appeal for information after woman goes missing on Lantau

Police have appealed to the public to come forward with any information they may have regarding a Thai woman who has gone missing in South Lantau.

Porthip Sathienjarukarn, aged 49, was last seen outside Mui Wo market on February 9. Her family contacted the consulate and made a police report a week later on February 16.

Porthip is described as being 1.6 metres tall and of medium build with a square face, short black hair and a red birthmark on her chin. She was last seen wearing a beige windbreaker and a pair of slippers.

Anyone who may have seen Porthip is urged to contact the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories South on 3661 1223 or 6277 5366, by emailing crm-nts-rcu-2b-office@police.gov.hk, or by visiting any police station.
