Peony restaurant has confirmed that it will not use real shark’s fin in the shark’s fin soup on its Father’s Day menu.
The announcement comes after concerned residents spotted the dish advertised on the menu in the latest issue of Club Times. In response to numerous enquiries, Food and Beverage Manager Man Yung said that the clubs always support environmental sustainability, and that the entry was overlooked in the proof-reading process. He clarified that the dish will actually be braised vegetarian shark’s fin soup.
The menus at the restaurant have all been updated to reflect this.
