Those hoping for drier weather after the weekend will be disappointed.
The Hong Kong Observatory’s latest 9-day weather forecast predicts showers, rain patches, and thunderstorms until April 24, the last Sunday of the month.
“Under the influence of a trough of low pressure, there will be heavy rain and squally thunderstorms over southern China early next week,” it states.
The city had been blanketed by mist and rainfall throughout most of the week of April. An amber alert was issued on April 13 Wednesday, with most of the territory experiencing between 10mm to 40mm of rainfall.
