There’s a treat in store for young Star Wars fans at Hong Kong Disneyland this summer with the brand new Star Wars: Tomorrowland Takeover.
Attractions include: Hyperspace Mountain, a reinterpretation of the classic Space Mountain, where visitors can jet off on a space reconnaissance mission, Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, where young Jedis don robes as they train in the ways of the Force, and Star Wars: Command Post, the perfect chance to meet the legendary Chewbacca, R2-D2 and Captain Phasma and his team of Stormtroopers.
Hong Kong Disneyland continues its expansion despite a recent decline in tourism, with a new Iron-Man themed area set to open later this year, and a third hotel expected in early 2017.
According to Gregory So, Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development, the focus of Hong Kong Disneyland is to cater to international tourists to work towards an increase in tourism. This runs alongside the Tourism Board’s aim to attract more MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) travel to the country to boost tourism.
