Shocking footage from a dash-cam video was shared on social media this weekend, showing the moment a New Lantau coach almost collided head-on with a car while overtaking on a bend.
The recording taken on South Lantau Road shows the large coach overtaking a cement truck on a blind bend, heading straight towards a car coming the other way.
Thanks to the car driver’s quick thinking, the vehicle came to a complete halt just metres from the Number 11 coach, which does not stop, but slowly manoeuvres back onto the correct side of the road.
The car’s driver and passengers can be heard yelling and berating the coach driver’s error in judgement.
