After 20 years, DB’s beloved video rental shop is closing its doors. Movieland Discovery Bay posted its notice of closure on February 17, and will remain open for patronage until March 25.

The franchise will retain one branch in Aberdeen Marina Club, Wong Chuk Hang, according to Movieland’s, Dorie Parnala.

The shop is currently holding a clearance sale. Sans the newest titles, which will be consolidated at the Aberdeen branch, its entire inventory is up for grabs at discounted prices.

DVDs can be purchased at HK$25 each, or 5 for HK$100. Blu-ray discs are priced at $50.

The shop is also selling complete TV series at $50 per set.

Movieland is located at Shop G38A, Discovery Bay Plaza. For more information, call 2987 7111.
