Just like that, a sixth of 2016 has passed. And for the fastest month of the year, a lot sure can happen.
Granted, there was an extra day, being a leap year, but the 24 bonus hours still seemed to pass by really quickly.
Asides a long and well-deserved holiday break, the Lunar New Year Celebration gave us all our fill of mooncake, flowers, and red packets. It is quite fitting that Valentine’s Day quickly followed, keeping shops and restaurants astrewn with crimson to scarlet-hued decor.
Whether you stayed or skipped town some time around the Friday before CNY and the Monday after the 14th, pictures were taken. They certainly were all throughout the festive and fun month of February.
Island Dance took part in the Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade.
Future Stars Acacdemy held its showcase From Broadway to Hollywood.
We also met author and cartoonist Larry Feign from Mui Wo.
In the last weekend alone, Lantau Buffalos held its annual Tiger’s Head Challenge, a gruelling race settling Athletes up and down a mountain four times.
Downhill on the other hand was DBIS International food fair, one of the community’s biggest gatherings, which featured tasty food items from around the world and other fun activities. Some famished participants from the morning’s race may have made their way there.
Apart from that, lots of other fun things took place. With numerous events already lined up in and around the neighbourhood, next month can be just as exciting and enjoyable.
