Hong Kong has been listed as one of the best places in the world to eat street food by in a new guide by CNN.
The list, published this week, features 23 cities around the world including New Orleans, Istanbul and Rio de Janeiro.
Referring to Hong Kong, the guide gives a special mention to the city’s somewhat unique culinary accolades, pointing out that, “places like Hong Kong have blurred the line between haute cuisine and quick comfort food, as humble dim sum diners win Michelin stars.”
Featured vendors include Hop Yik Tai (121 Lam Street, Sham Shui Po) and Fei Jie’s (Shop 4A, 55 Dundas Street, Mong Kok), as well as the indoor corridors beneath the Tai On Building, which “come alive every evening as it’s turned into a vibrant late night food market.”
Other Asian cities to make the list include Beijing, Bangkok, Tokyo, Mumbai and Bali.
