For the 10th anniversary of Picnic in the Park, on January 30th, the organisers promise the festival to be bigger and better than ever! This year, PiP organisers have partnered with Ticketflap to make it easy for you, the audience, to donate if you wish to do so.
The organisers explain: ” We must emphasise that it is a FREE event but it can’t go ahead without the support from our sponsors and you, the public. This year with the help of our friends at Ticketflap.com it’s never been easier to give. Before you even go to the show you can visit ticketflap.com and donate directly on our special Picnic in the Park page. There’s even an option to contribute if you can’t go! On the day, as you enter the gates, you’ll be able to donate then and there or proudly show your printed ticketflap donation ticket.”
“Showcasing 11 hours of live music from Rock/pop to Hip-hop; from Big Brass to Blue Grass, our unique performances from bands and performers will be playing completely for free in the hope that the Picnic in the Park audience will actively be giving to charity.”
On Saturday 30th January, thousands of people will make their pilgrimage to DB’s Siena Park and rock-out to 26 live bands. This year both custom-built stages will be more impressive with each featuring the very latest sound and light systems. Add to this the on-site, alfresco-dining, the fully-licensed bars, talented bands and community dance acts performing throughout the day, and it’s easy to see what makes this annual family event so special.
“We are looking forward to making this one a big one for Picnic in the Park’s designated charities: the Hong Chi Children’s Home and the Hong Kong Student Aid Society. Come along and make this 10th edition of Picnic in the Park the biggest and best one yet and we can look forward to a double in 2016 when we hope to bring Picnic in the Park back to its normal month in November.”
