The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) announced that the colony count (presence of a specific bacteria) of a chocolate milk beverage sample manufactured in the Netherlands was found exceeding the legal limit.

The CFS has prohibited the import into and sale within Hong Kong of the affected milk beverage product with immediate effect:

UHT Chocolate Milk Beverage by DailyDutch (made in The Netherlands). This product is imported by PrizeMart Limited and it comes in a pack of a litre, with expiration date: August 4, 2016.

To be extra cautious, the CFS decided to also test the other milk products from the brand.
