Congratulations to DB resident and self-taught artist Ishrat Jahan Murray who is debuting her work at the Asia Contemporary Art Show 2017.
Today sees the final day of the 10th edition of the show at the Conrad hotel in Admiralty, featuring thousands of artworks from across the world, including over 50 pieces by Ishrat.
Originally from Bangladesh, Ishrat visited Hong Kong on and off from 2004 before finally settling in Discovery Bay in 2016. Her work includes magical moments in nature, landscapes and still life studies.
Ishrat will be displaying her work from 12pm – 6pm in room 4106 and is offering a 20% discount on all pieces bought today.
Speaking to Around DB about the show, Ishrat said, “It’s been a great experience, I’ve had a fabulous response. More than a thousand people have taken photos with my paintings. They have said that the paintings make them feel happy because they focus on nature and are colourful.”
In addition to her core collection, Ishrat also offers personal commissions, including portraits and interpretations of clients’ ideas.
