DB construction work update: additional hoarding around DB Plaza

Posted in : News on by : Around DB , , Comments: 0

City Management has advised that as part of the current construction work in DB Plaza additional hoarding will be installed in two new areas.

The first section to be fenced off (Area A) is located near the ferry pier entrance, adjacent to the nearby toilet block. The hoarding is being installed to facilitate enhancement work on the south promenade, which runs from the ferry pier to La Costa.

The new hoarding will reduce the width of the south promenade near the ferry pier, therefore residents are being advised to allow additional time when accessing the pier from the direction of La Costa.

The second section to be fenced off (Area B) includes the portion of footpath on Discovery Bay Road adjacent to the construction site. The additional hoarding in this area is being installed in order to facilitate the construction of underground utilities.

Pedestrians walking along Discovery Bay Road are advised to use the footpath on the opposite side of the road in this area and to follow the instructions of traffic wardens, who will be deployed to assist.

Both sections of fencing will be erected in April and are expected to be in place until the end of 2018. Additional signage will be set up in order to help direct pedestrians and road users.
