The annual Cathay Pacific community flighttook to the air this weekend (May 21), forming a heart in the sky with 100 first-time fliers onboard.
According to Flightradar24, the Boeing 777-300 is the largest aircraft tracked on its live flight tracker to have formed a heart.
The 90-minute community flight took the 100 children and their families over Hong Kong and the South China Sea. Participants were selected through a writing competition organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. The theme for the competition was overcoming life challenges.
Senior Captain Hank Cheng, known for his round-the-world trip on his home-built plane last year, operated the flight. Over 60 Cathay Pacific volunteers, including cockpit and cabin crew were also onboard and shared their aviation knowledge with the participants.
