Lantau students have made a generous contribution to this year’s Box of Hope charity collection.

Box of Hope organises the collection of useful and educational gifts for underprivileged children in Hong Kong and Asia from Hong Kong school children.

Students fill an old shoe box with interesting and educational gifts at home and drop them off at a collection point. The boxes are then collected and distributed to needy children.

Last year the charity collected 21,000 boxes from schools all over Hong Kong.

This year, schools on Lantau made a significant contribution with DB schools collecting 1300 boxes.

Schools in Tung Chung collected more than 200 boxes and schools in South Lantau collected more than 190 boxes.

ESF International Kindergarten in Tsing Yi collected 220 boxes.
