The Hong Kong Welsh Voice Choir and the British Bass Company of Hong Kong are proud to present a concert celebrating St. David, the Patron Saint of Wales on March 1 at St. John’s Cathedral.
This concert will feature a selection well-known pieces from Wales and abroad including Verdi’s Speed Your Journey, Satie’s Gymnopedie, a new arrangement by Colin Touchin, Musical Director of Below the Lion Rock. Also included is a recital of the first movement of Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A Minor by soloist Emas Au, as well as the beautiful work by Belgian composer Jan van der Roost titled Canterbury Chorale, which was inspired by one great cathedral and will now be performed in another.
Tickets cost HK$200 for adults, and HK$100 for children, full-time students and Overseas Foreign Workers.
Tickets will be available for purchase in advance at the Cathedral Bookshop and at the door.
