Organised by The Trail Hub, ultimate short course challenge Lantau Vertical sees runners complete a 7-kilometre ascent with over 900 metres of elevation gain. Starting at Shek Pik reservoir, racers climb the island’s highest peak, Lantau Peak, and finish at Pak Kung Au.
Participants can book a bus from Tung Chung to the starting point, at HK$30 for a single trip, upon registration. Another option is to take a taxi from Tung Chung MTR station. On-site check-in and bag drop, at Shek Pik reservoir, will be available from 7.30am.
Parents planning to bring little ones along will be delighted to hear that there will be a Trail School where kids can join nature-oriented activities, including a mini-vertical kids race, as they wait for their parents to finish.
Once the racers cross the finish line at Pak Kung Au, a fully stocked aid station will be ready together with their bags for pick-up.
The race is capped at 500 runners, so register now to lock in your slot! Race packs include a cool organic Lantau Vertical t-shirt.
