DB Pirates player Kate Jolly wins netball award

Hong Kong netball team

Congratulations to DB Pirates player Kate Jolly who was named player of the tournament for Hong Kong at the recent Asian Netball Championships.

Kate, along with her Black Pearls teammate Michelle Arkell, was selected to represent Hong Kong at the tournament in Bangkok at the beginning of August.

Kate was awarded the Most Valuable Player title after an impressive display which saw the team reach the semi-finals. The Hong Kong team eventually finished fourth overall, having lost by just one goal to Malaysia in the semis before losing to Singapore in the third-place play-off.

We're sure the DB community will join with us in congratulating both Kate and Michelle on this fantastic achievement!
