Hong Kongers have longest life expectancy in the world

Statistics released last week have revealed that Hong Kong citizens have the longest life expectancy in the world.

The report, by the Japanese Health and Welfare Ministry, showed that, on average, Hong Kong men live for 81.24 years, with women faring even better at 87.32 years.

China's overall life expectancy was significantly lower, with men expected to live for 72.38 years and women for 77.37 years. Elsewhere in Asia, Japan proved to be another health hot-spot, with the figures standing at 80.79 and 87.05 years respectively, followed closely by Singapore, at 80.4 and 84.9 years.
