Hong Kong Airlines Engine Failure

A Hong Kong Airlines flight from Hong Kong to Taiwan was forced to land with only one engine after a mid-air failure earlier this week.

Flight HX252 was nearing the end of its journey on Tuesday July 17 when the captain raised the alarm. The Airbus A330-200 landed safely in Taipei approximately 35 minutes later. Emergency crews rushed to the aircraft after landing. No one was reported injured.

The cause of the incident is unknown however reports indicate that a mechanical failure was to blame. An examination into the incident is underway.
