Hundreds more flights were cancelled today as typhoon Nepartak made its way across Taiwan. The storm battered the island on Friday morning, reportedly killing two people and injuring dozens of others.

Since making landfall, the storm has weakened from super typhoon to severe typhoon status.

Travel disruption is forecast to continue throughout the day as the storm makes its way towards mainland China.

Nepartak is expected to reach China's Fujian province in the next 24 hours, affecting air travel in the region, with airports in Fuzhou, Quanzhou and Xiamen already announcing flight cancellations.

Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights before setting off for the airport.
