Ferry Pier Stalkers

Facebook users residing in the Outlying Islands have called attention to a number of disconcerting events at the Central Ferry Pier this May.

On the first incident, which took place roughly on the third week of the month, a teenage girl from Lamma Island was approached by two intimidating men near Ferry Pier 4. One of them kept pressing her for her name and where she lived.

The following week, three South Lantau school girls in their early teens were harassed by a local man at Ferry Pier 6, who was later flagged and warned by police.

On both occassions, the girls were visibly frightened and disturbed throughout the ordeal, although none were harmed physically. Good samaritans witnessed the ordeal and assisted in keeping the men at bay and notifying authorities.

If you know of or have experienced any similar occurences, we would appreciate if you could share any information, in the name of public safety. You can leave comments below or on Facebook, or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
