Double-decker burns down at bus terminal in Tsuen Wan

A parked Kowloon Motor Bus double-decker burned down in Tsuen Wan on March 24, yesterday afternoon.

Thick clouds of black smoke rose to the sky as the KMB 30 bus caught fire at Allway Gardens Bus Terminal, Tsuen King Circuit, around 2.30pm.

Witnesses told police that the fire began from the rear portion of the bus. An ambulance and firetruck soon arrived at the scene. Emergency workers put the fire out in minutes, although much of the vehicle's interior had already been scorched.

There fortunately were no casualties, as the bus had been empty. Ongoing investigations have thus far revealed nothing suspicious.
