Month of May starts hot and dry in Hong Kong

Hong Kong's temperature is set to rise to highs of 29 degrees next week.
The last time the city experienced such heat was in November 2015. This change in climate follows consecutive days of rain for the month of April, as well as record humidity not felt since 1971.
Meanwhile, Labour Day weekend will remain subject to cloudy weather with a few showers. At the close of April, more than 200mm of rainfall had already engulfed Hong Kong.
In contrast, the first week of May is predicted to consist mostly of sunny intervals, making for hotter and drier climate.
