Legendary singer Prince dies at 57

"It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57," said Yvette Noel-Schure, his publicist.
Prince was found dead at his home on Thursday near Minneapolis; he was 57. Earlier this month, Prince said he wasn't feeling well and canceled a few concerts.
Prince has won seven Grammy Awards, and has earned 30 nominations, selling more than 100 million records. Five of his singles have topped the charts and 14 other songs hit the Top 10. Prince won an Oscar for the original song score to the classic film "Purple Rain." (Watch the Youtube video on our FB page). The singer was also known as "His Royal Badness" or "The Purple One" for his kinky story-songs and his colourful fashion style.
He first found fame in the late 1970s and over the next three decades became known as one of the most eccentric and powerful force in American pop music.
