- Written by arounddb, 18 February 2016
The Soberman campaign, spearheaded by the Hong Kong Cancer Fund, challenges participants to forego alcoholic beverages for 30 days. It takes place from February through March 22nd; registration is ongoing.
A first in Hong Kong, the campaign encourages healthier lifestyles while raising funds to provide free programmes and services for cancer patients.
Participants can register online and pledge a minimum amount of HK$100, as a liquor levy. Donations can come from participants' personal contributions or sponsorships from family and friends.
The top three fundraisers will win amazing prizes. These include a 3-night stay with breakfast at a luxury 4 double bedroom Jivana Villa in Phuket for first prize; a one-night weekend stay in a Harbour View room at EAST Hong Kong hotel with breakfast for two for the runner-up; and a voucher for a Sense of Touch day spa facial for second runner-up.
Participants also enjoy discounts for a juice cleanse from organic health shop Nood food.
The Hong Kong Cancer Fund is Hong Kong's largest cancer support organisation, whose goal is to make life better for people touched by cancer through free information and professional support.
