Police arrest three burglary suspects in Discovery Bay

Three burglary suspects were arrested trying to board the ferry in Discovery Bay last Wednesday.
City Management announced the arrests in a circular to residents.
"The above case was first alerted in the early evening by one of our police special duty team member when he saw three suspicious persons loitering ... in the Piazza," the circular said.
The officer raised the alarm as the trio had been captured by CCTV during the recent burglaries in Beach and La Serene.
Police were then able to arrest the suspects as they attempted to board the ferry to Central.
The suspects have been detained at Tung Chung police station while inquiries continue into recent burglaries in DB.
City Management said it would be discussing crime prevention with Owner Committees to improve CCTV systems around DB.
City Management also called on residents to be more conscious of security, reminding people to keep doors and windows locked, leave perimeter lights on, not to leave valuables in the home and to get a neighbour to check on your property if you are away.
