Passengers thrown off plane after scuffle over reclining seat

Three passengers were thrown off a flight in Cambodia after a scuffle broke out before takeoff, according to reports.

The South China Morning Post reported the fight was sparked by a female passenger reclining her seat.

A man sitting behind the woman told her that her seat was tipped too far back and inadvertently touched her hair.

They began to quarrel before their friends and relatives joined in and the two sides started to jostle.

Attempts to calm them failed so the captain asked immigration officers to escort them off the plane which was due to fly from Siem Reap to Chengdu on Monday night.

The captain said the trio were jeopardising the safety of the flight.

The flight took off more than an hour behind schedule.
