Hong Kong airport cleaner arrested over thefts from planes

An airport cleaner has been arrested for stealing wine and ice cream from passenger flights.

The South China Morning Post reported the 51-year-old man has been accused of stealing items worth HK$4900.

He was arrested at Hong Kong International Airport last Thursday after police saw him acting suspiciously.

He was found with a backpack with three bottles of wine and 17 cups of ice cream worth HK$3700.

Another three bottles of wine worth HK$1200 were found at his home, believed to have been stolen from other flights.
