There is no better way to escape the hustle and bustle of city life than grabbing a relaxing meal while overlooking one of Hong Kong’s many eye-catching beaches. Here are three of the best.
Cococabana – Shek O
Saddling Shek O Beach, arguably Hong Kong’s most picturesque beach, Cococabana specialises in authentic French Mediterranean cuisine delivered by chef Jean Paul Gauci, who has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in France. The well-designed menu also offers a range of other options. The intimate interior features white-washed walls and recycled woods, creating an atmosphere akin to the French Riviera.

This recently opened bar, restaurant and café is an exciting addition to the beachside dining options in South Lantau. Located on the beach, this is the perfect place for a seaside breakfast, relaxing coffee, sunset cocktails or a meal with friends. The menu features innovative dishes and an extensive drinks list that includes a good selection of wines and craft beers. Open Wednesday to Sunday, including public holidays, from 11.30am.

The Lanai – Stanley
If you are after somewhere with a relaxed feel and a quick and easy menu, look no further than The Lanai. You won’t find a restaurant much closer to the beach and the outdoor seating and beautiful outlook are a great combination. With burgers, salads, wraps and even cocktails on offer, it’s the perfect place to bunker down for an afternoon.
