Members of the DB community gathered on September 27 at the Discovery Bay Office Centre Multi-Purpose Hall to remember Simon Mawdsley, who passed away on September 4. The hall was open throughout the day for friends, family and colleagues to drop in and share stories, view photos and sign a memory book in honour of Simon.
Simon was chairman of the Village Owners’ Committee and he is survived by his wife of 37 years Katherine (Kathy), his sister Elizabeth and daughter Sue.
City Management staff, COC and VOC members are invited to gather together from 1000-1100, with all other guests requested to visit between 1100 and 1700. A temperature monitor and hand sanitizing station will be at the entrance, with up to fifty guests allowed in the space at any one time. Please maintain social distancing. Light refreshments will be available. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the SPCA, a cause important to Simon and Kathy throughout their 25 years in Hong Kong.
